Before lesson, we had to submit the home activity given last Mon. That home activity teaches us how to control our pencil well. Firstly, we need to draw 3 horizontal lines. Secondly, draw zigzag lines that just touch the horizontal lines we drew at first, without lifting the pencil from the paper. Lastly, draw lines horiaontally. I had difficulties drawing the lines straightly and in the end, it doesn't look nice.
We need to bring a fruit or vegetable for today's lesson. I brought a real small banana. Haha! Immediately, i regret. A small banana is very difficult to draw, as it has not much features to draw. Almost every view look the same.
Before we draw the fruit or vegetable we brought, the lecturers taught us how to do shading and how to use grid lines to guide us when we draw. After that, we started drawing. We need to draw 9 views of the fruit or vegetable we brought. I had some problems. Finding views to draw is difficult, as almost all views are the same.
Then, shading is also a problem. I find it difficult to shade the small banana until it looks like a 3D drawing. Luckily, i still can seek help from the friends around me. But it still doesn't look good, as i need more practices. Before i can finish drawing, its lunch time. Therefore, i need to draw the remaining views at home. But i decided to draw starfruit instead of the small banana, as starfruit has more features.
After lunch, we need to present our favourite toy to everyone in T521, which means class 01,02 and 03. I chose a soft toy tortoise to present to everyone, as it is very meaningful to me. It was a birthday present from my Sec 4 class. It is the only present i got from that class. Therefore, i treasure and cherish it very much.
During this lesson, i saw alot of different toys that my schoolmates brought. Some students present their toys in a funny way which makes everyone laugh. Haha!
Finally, the part on presenting of toys has ended. The lecturers began to give out papers to us. Each of us received a sheet of paper which needs us to write down some of our personal information. But the main thing we need to focus on is the "EMOTIONS". We need to write down the 4 emotions that we, our self will normally get into.
My 4 emotions are HAPPY, SAD, EMO and ANGRY. The lecturers wanted us to draw something about each emotion. There's no theme restriction. So, we can draw anything we want for each emotion.
Before we went back home, we had briefing on what to do at home. We need to draw 20 drawings!!! Actually, not really 20, coz some we can cut and paste. We are given 5 themes, which is OBJECTS, PATTERNS, COLOURS, MATERIALS and ICONS. We need to draw 4 drawings for each theme and the 4 drawings must be the emotions we wrote on the paper previously. And again, home activity is needed to do. Alright, thats all for today.
